DURATION: 3 hours

PARTICIPANTS: 2 people

Knowledge of sewing required
This course is suitable for adults and children aged 14 or up who already know how to sew

Learn about free motion machine embroidery in this class.  We will discuss what it is and talk about what it is important to consider when planning your embroidery. We will then make a small practice piece and learn some easy ways to help make the embroidery process smoother. We will talk about stabilizing your fabric and how to stop and start and what to do if your thread breaks. We will also talk about different types of needles and threads and what you can do with the finished piece.

The finished image will measure approximately 30 x 30 cm.

You will be working on a Bernina Artista 730 sewing machine. Nevertheless at the end of this course you should be knowledgible enough to continue with free motion machine embroidery on your own sewing machine.
